Chase Rowan — Creative Director & Designer, Dallas, TX

Hello,

I'm a creative director and designer based in Dallas, TX. The past decade has been built across brand development, graphic design, art direction, packaging, web design, content strategy, concept ideation, and art installations – working with artists, musicians, businesses, and brands at every stage of the process.

Some projects start from nothing. Others come in mid-stride. Either way, the job is the same, understand what something is trying to be, and build toward that with intention.

The breadth of disciplines isn't accidental. I love saying yes, and a wider range means a wider frame of reference, and that shows up in the work. Every project, regardless of format or scope, gets the same treatment – considered, cohesive, and design driven.

Alongside client work, I write and publish The Newsletter – an ongoing publication about art, design, creativity, and the texture of everyday life. Written in real time, released in weekly or bi-weekly installments (depending on my schedule) for eventual physical production. It started as a way to think through the things that shape creative culture but it's become a living, breathing snapshot of my thoughts and processes over the years.

The work and the writing cover a lot of ground. Different mediums, different formats, different problems. The through-line is always the same though – continued learning, staying culturally aware, and letting each discipline inform the next.
